(Yes I’m behind with this again…)
This week I’m listening to Icona Pop’s “I love it”.
This song is upbeat and has a very stubborn mentally behind it which I really like. Yes, the song is very repetitive and, yes, it’s not the most sincere of songs; but it’s catchy and I like it. And, judging by it’s chart history, a lot of people are liking it too.
It’s gone platinum in more than 5 countries and gold in a further 3. It reached #1 in the UK Singles chart as well as Scotland and Israel.
There was a while when people thought that It would beat “Blurred lines” to be #1 but it currently sits at an impressive #4.
