Get that ball rolling again.

I’m going to get back to the gym this week. Harry is now more than happy to have a little nap for an hour while I pop out so I’m going to.

I’ve missed the gym. There, I’ve said it. I never thought I’d say it but I can feel old habits creeping back in and I don’t like it.

I am going to get fit (again).

    Old habits have gravity.

A space ship has to travel at 17,000 miles per hour to escape earth’s gravity. The most difficult time for the rocket is just getting off the launch pad, and then building up the momentum needed to escape. It takes an enormous amount of fuel (focus, determination, and activity).

I’ve done it. Lost 26 lbs in 5 months once. And…, I’ve also fallen from orbit… Presently my space ship just sits around the space center staring at the launch pad… Sometimes I fire the engines… But I really need to get back to that commitment that once put me into orbit. I know it’s possible. In the past, I found that I had to make time when there was no possible distractions (excuses), and for me that was early in the morning, about 5-6 A.M (much easier in summer than in winter, though, let me tell you…). Then, I got on the scale only once a week (Fridays) because water weight can fluctuate from day to day, and then wrote the weight down on a 3×5 card taped to the inside of my bathroom cabinet. Looked at it every morning for focus and motivation.

Best of luck to you in this. Oh, and have fun and love yourself no matter what. šŸ™‚

    • Thanks for that – it was exactly what I needed to hear! It sounds like we’ve both encountered similar problems in this area and I like how you motivate yourself! I can especially relate to the excuses thing which I have become a pro at doing! Wishing you all the best of luck too and thanks again! šŸ™‚
